Hello Shingle People!
Yay!!! With this episode, we’re done with our Passion to Profit series. I’ve had so much fun interviewing these entrepreneurs about turning their passion to profit.
Okay! Let me tell you about these three ladies. Christine and Samantha decided they wanted to bring to their neighborhood something they never had growing up: a state-of-the-art facility that promotes health and fitness, in Brooklyn. Together with their mother Aileen, they opened Triple Threat Bootcamp in 2015, and have since attracted over 600 people and have a steady flow of 150 clients per month.
When Christine and Sam were growing up in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, a facility like Triple Threat didn’t exist; they had to go to Manhattan or Long Island to have access to a gym. Aileen, Samantha, and Christine come from a diverse background in health and wellness, which is an added benefit to clients who attend the studio. TTB not only provides group classes, but also personal training sessions and nutritional education.
Despite their health and fitness training experience, when it came to starting and running a business, they were in unfamiliar territory. During this episode, we talk about their challenges starting out, mistakes they made along the way, things they wish they had known and navigating their way through a male-dominated industry. We also talk about how they acquired the funds to finance their business.
If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by and get yourself a workout. You can follow TTB on Instagram and Facebook.
